Geriatrics as a specialty has moved to the fore front of public health and nursing arena, in view of the fact that aging has become a major concern on global scale. Special care for aging patients is therefore required given that the complexities inherent in aging calls for unique healthcare strategies that are preventive, with falls being a common yet preventable and deadly cause of impaired health among the elderly (Montero-Odasso, 2019). In this assignment, I will do a comparison of the geriatric care strategies and their effectiveness at fall prevention in the Sentinel City and that of Singapore. Through doing a comparative study, I hope to explore actionable ideas that will refine and improve care for elderly people thus making the aging process healthier, safer, and more dignified for all.

• Intervention (I): Formulation and introduction of an all-encompassing fall prevention program that may involve environmental changes within the buildings (e.g. installing grab bars, improving lightening), one-on-one modifying physical therapy sessions to maintain strength and balance, and medication review to prevent side effects that can increase risk of falling (Taylor et al., 2019).
• Comparison (C): Current standard of care or falling prevention strategies might be used as a control group, setting an up equal level for the comparison of the effectiveness of the proposed intervention.
• Outcomes (O): The main goals will be to mark a downwards trend with drop in fall cases, enhance the mobility and independence of the elderly people and generally elevate their quality of life.

Identifying Need
